One year ago, I began a strange obsession with goats, thanks to my township renting a herd to clear the park of poison ivy. And, after learning to walk a goat and learning to love her like a pet (even when I have to drag her by the head to stop her from headbutting me), I am going to show her tomorrow at the local farm fair. I have to be there by 7:30 AM to do it, but this whole thing has been worth it.

And then, when the show's over, the animals will be moved to a tent, which we (the members of the club) will be attending to 24/7.

I'm going to be a carnie for a week and sleep in a tent with goats, basically.

Well, this is my first post on this site. I was linked to it from another forum as an alternative to a site that is...going downhill, and was told basically that it's a "LiveJournal clone." It sounded nice based on the bare descriptions I was given, so here I am, giving it a try.

I'm confused about exactly what is going on here and all, but I do like the setup of my profile and stuff, so...that's a good sign. I guess I should poke around communities and stuff before I make any further judgement.

(I hope that I'm doing this right and this post isn't just very annoying and grating against the culture of this site or something.)
